I have 4 shirts from them. They run small and take about 2 weeks to come in but they have some very interesting prints.

I have made Hawaiian shirts but both Hancock and the other fabric store are now gone. Mine lasted ten years on my husband.
I’ll bet he stands out in Johnson City or Kingsport in January.

I have bought vintage Hawaiian shirts for wearing to themed fundraisers.

They’re Rayon or some other polyester, if I recall correctly. Also the buttons were a big deal, like natural shell or mother-of-pearl or something.

I’m too lazy to go to the closet and look at them but I recall that I spent decent money on the couple vintage ones that I have.

Dirty Dillards in Slidell usually has a decent selection of Hawaiian shirts. Occasionally you'll find Tommy Bahama there, but usually it's the Caribbean brand.

Unfortunately I don't think the sales are near as good as they used to be there.

I've bought a couple of vintage Hawaiian shirts on ebay - traditional Hawaiian designs, coconut buttons, and all cotton. "Hilo Hattie" was a great brand.

It is the way to go.

Side by side threads about the need to boost American manufacturing and buying cheap Chinese "Hawaiian" shirts.
