The other side will always deflect. It's what they do. The left's go to right now on this crime is "both sides do it". Once that loses steam they will continue to dig their hole with another DNC talking point. They won't stop digging ever, which isn't a bad thing on these 80-20 issues, just aggravating as hell.

Charlie Kirk was not radical, he was just able to publicly say out loud what the vast majority of normal conservatives (and especially white males) are afraid/unable to say because of the insanity of the culture of silence the that left/media cancel culture brought in
his takes on dei, broken black culture, broken education system, the dangers of pushing transgender propaganda, aren’t really all that radical to most people
but if those on the left get microphones, platforms, teachers, politicians, bullhorns, full scale Protests and riots to be pro everything above, it was nice to have even a single microphone like Charlie giving a rational take on the other side.
if that single microphone is “worthy” and “deserving” of assassination, then it opens a scary can of worms

This is pretty much it. He was called provocative because he challenged abnormal behaviors that young people have become comfortable with. He challenged victimhood. He challenged the basis of the various social justice causes. My perception is these young people were building themselves up with all these misguided moral and social truths, and he made them question the foundations.
