Charles Barkley Apologizes For What He Said To A Female Reporter

Charles Barkley told a female reporter that he don't hit women but if he did he would hit some female reporter.
Evidently he had to apologize and it is being reported that he is being accused of threatening a female reporter.

How the hell did he threaten her? If she was a man it would have been a threat, but he said he doesn't hit women... So because she is a woman how can they report this as a threat?

According to a tweet from McCammond, Barkley told her, “I don’t hit women but if I did I would hit you” after she mentioned that one of his remarks seemed contradictory. She wrote that when she objected to his comment, Barkley said that she “couldn’t take a joke.”

I am sure TNT forced him to apologize because I don't see Barkley being the type to truly be sorry for something he said... But I don't get why people have to apologize every time they say something that someone doesn't like. Is an apology sincere if someone "has" to do it?

So Charles Barkley apologizes for making an obviously distasteful joke and Axios reporter @Alexi doesn’t think he deserves forgiveness. But it’s ok for her to make racist jokes about Asians. Hypocritical and disgusting. Problem with woke/cancel culture, it always boomerangs back.
