Every time a cop got one with their hands behind their back another family member would jump on them. Seems the family was trying for the longest time to keep anyone from getting cuffed.

There is no way you convince me that several members of the family were not high as frick on something.

Police Sgt. Jeremy Daniels grabbed the man and the melee was on, Fanning said.

The family utilized tactics that had to be "taught," Fanning said. For instance, they knew that punching officers on the body was futile because of their protective vests. Instead, the fought officers by grabbing at their eyes, ears and mouths and pulling hard.

They also had been taught to roll after they were shot with stun guns in order to break the wires and stop the shock, and to appear to give up by putting their hands in the air in order to get close to attack again. The family refused orders to "get on the ground" and eventually overpowered Daniels.

That makes the story even crazier. Glad all of the officers are alive and well.

The only problem I see is that most are still alive.

I watched the video earlier today without knowing the story. I thought it was a joke at first.

I saw a fight like this once with two cops responding. The small cop (About 5'7", 160 lbs) pepper sprayed anyone who would not stop fighting. There were about twenty people fighting when he arrived. He was a pepper spraying ninja.

Within 30 seconds he had subdued the whole crowd. The bigger cop just watched his buddy's back and never really interacted with anyone else.

I wonder why the cops in this video did not pepper spray as soon as the fighting started?

Anyone else notice the turned over motorized shopping cart one of the fat assed inbreds must have been using? They can fight (sorta) the cops but need a scooter to get around the store.

Cops showed great restraint. But they probably should've been trained to handle that situation better. Could've ended very badly for them and everyone else involved.

What a strange situation. I'm really glad no LEOs were killed, that was scary.

If one of those inbreds was packing it would have gotten bad very quickly.

Good shoot
If I were their CO I'd tell them that they initially got too close
Towards the end, when one officer is tending to the shot officer, a suspect aggressively approaches and the tending officer draws his weapon. I think I would have pulled the trigger.

The officers showed much greater restraint than was necessary.

I just want to know why nobody got cuffed. Especially when the reinforcements come in at the end.
within first 10 secs I was thinking the cops were inept. They didn't even try to restrain anyone. Shocking.

???

2 LEOs on scene vs. 6-7 trashy people obviously awaiting backup. Backup (with dashcam) arrives at :25. At :28 he tells backup "we need to separate these folks and talk to 'em". Trash on right says "no, you are not going to separate me from my family." One cop says at :32 alright then "we are gonna handcuff you" and the melee begins. What should they have done?

Hindsight is 20/20 but to me the LEOs waited way too long to call for back up.once the first punch was thrown back up should have been called IMO

Eta. I know some ex-cops. They quit because of this type of family domestic violence was too scary for them

This is the kind of shite cops have to deal with all the time, and people wonder why they get a little trigger happy sometimes. If you brawl with a cop, especially if you take him to the ground, you are going to get shot. And you deserve to be. If you put him in a situation where his pistol is at risk of being taken, you are going to get shot.

See, this happens to all races when you choose to act like a dumbass (more of a reference to earlier incidents, not the most recent shooting)

Seems like the end result is typically the same for idiots who fight with law enforcement, they go to jail or get shot if they continue to pose a threat. Dumb shits like you are the ones causing all the trouble
