Plus, if they actually did forgive the loans, they wouldn't have that issue to run on anymore.

Private lenders have standing to sue because they lose out on interest payments. Admin is attempting to make the forgiveness iron-clad and they'll probably succeed.

If Republicans were to get housed in the midterms, they would deserve every bit of it.

Why? For expecting personal responsibility and respecting role of Congress to legislate laws and President to execute those laws.

Democrats control have controlled house and Senate with VP under Sniffer, so why don’t you hold them responsible for not passing reform legislation instead of relying on senile sniffer using Wuhan as basis for power to forgive student loans and then declaring it over on 60 Minutes?

If they are going to forgive 10K then they need to do it for everyone. No income limits, no depends on who holds your loans.

The borrower has no control over who owns these loans. The schools issue them, they are bought and then they are sold and bought and sold and bought on the open market.

What's really funny is this... when an FFEL loan goes into default, the feds have to buy it to make the servicer whole. Those loans now qualify.

But the studends with FFEL loans who did NOT default and who have been paying their student loans... the people who have done what they are supposed to do... THEY get left in the cold.

And then you have the Republicans who are mad that a private company - one who simply services the loans - will lose business as the number of loans goes down due to forgiveness.

Meaning... the "small government conservatives" are mad that there will be fewer govermnent owned loans around.

MOHELA can kiss my backside. They got in bed sucking the government tit... and now they mad the milk is running dry.

I said it when this was announced. That was the whole point of this. They know it can’t be done this way. It was just to try to swing midterm votes. Then after midterms they’ll back off from loan forgiveness realizing they can’t do it this way legally. “Well we tried but the Republicans stopped us.”

Uhhhh this is good for Repubulicans.

When they democrats say this people think "good job stopping that terrible policy" republicans.

Democrats are soooo out of touch and so far left they have no idea what American's actually want from them.

Except he promised millions of people free money they will never get just in time so that it can't be actually officially stopped until after the election

And let me tell you. Those people are retards.

So they will say thanks for the free money that I will never see.

They don't though. It doesn't matter who controls Congress, they always find new and innovative ways of relinquishing power to the Executive.
We blame the Executive for 95% of legislative blunders, and that is wholly by design.
