Cedar fence estimate

Calling OT Fence moguls. Looking to have installed an 8' tall x 97' long board-on-board cedar fence. I want a 2x6 treated ground contact base board, and trimmed with a top cap. What's a reasonable per foot price for both pre-stained and non-stained?

Wrong and wrong with those above estimates. Material alone on an 8 ft cedar fence with top cap and 2x6 bottom rail will run you around 20 per lineal foot. I would guess a reputable company would charge somewhere between 30-35 per foot to build what you are looking for.

This. 8' plus contact and trim are going to bump the price/ft up considerably. Also consider if there will need to be any gates as this will obviously add to the cost.

Thank you. Would that cost be pre-stained or natural? Also, in the DFW area. Should I expect higher or lower regional pricing (in your opinion)?

While we've got the fence experts around, what is the going rate for a plain old treated fence (per foot, installed)? If you don't mind, I'd like prices on 6' and 8'.
Was planning to do it myself, but if the price is decent, I could save myself a lot of effort.

The price estimate I gave would be for unstained. Like he said, gates would likely bump the price even higher. Staining can vary depending on the product you use. Ive seen exterior stains that run between $100 and $300 per 5 gallon bucket. 100 feet of fence would likely take about 10 gallons. You can do this yourself with a pump srayer.

A good price for treated fences installed can range depending on wood versus metal poles, gates, etc., but a good starting point for a 6ft fence would be $14-18/ft and 8ft $20-25/ft. These prices are labor and materials.

I would go the latter route. From my experience cedar stains much better after 6-9 months of "seasoning". Most of the stains I have seen done immediately following install take away from the look of the wood IMO.

Y'all people saying less than 20 per foot didn't read the OP. 8 foot tall cedar with an extra board on the bottom is going to be 30+ per foot installed

It's gonna run you around $35/foot. Don't stain cedar. At least not at first. It's beautiful as is. Wait a year or two until it starts to grey.
Edit. You can drop that price down to mid $20's if you take off the cap, bottom rail and don't do the California shadow box style (board on board)

Received three quotes today, materials only. Lowest price was around $26 plf and highest was just over $33 plf, pre-stained and sealed.
The cost dropped to around $21 plf if unstained.
Now I 'll need to work on labor quotes.

6 ft treated pine $15 ft and up. Cedar $18 and up.
Anybody has cheaper quote I'd love to hear it. I used Louisiana fence. Git quotes from many and found them cheapest.
