He has a history of blaming the guides for his poaching. He thinks plausible deniability and money will get him off. He's prob right.
It may get him off legally. It won't stop the negative publicity, which will directly affect his income stream. Local news reports in Minnesota stated that his office was closed today, and when it reopens, I expect it will be without quite a number of his former patients.
I don't think he'll be going on any more six figure hunts.

I think his business will suffer but it'll blow over in a month or so. There are a lot of animal rights wackos out there...he is in danger and I bet he knows it.
edit: yea I would stop going if I found my dentist was like this guy

We are talking about corrupt Africans here. They honestly don't give a shite, because if they did they would crack down on the poaching without having to be paid by hunters.

Hunting lions is the only answer.

Look at the facts moron. The numbers are down 50% in 30 years. Are hunting these animals really working? 34k lions world wide.

Wrong. I merely think it is doing more than nothing and is better than not having it at all.

No one says it is.

You need money to crack down on poachers. Things cost money.

Right, legal hunting is what has led to that decline.

Not sure. I don't think so.

It does more than nothing, so technically yes.

I don't know, a good dentist is hard to find. I don't care if he kills lions on the side for fun or not. More power to him if he can afford it.

"I had no idea that the lion I took was a known, local favorite, was collared and part of a study until the end of the hunt," Palmer said, according to CBS. "I deeply regret that my pursuit of an activity I love and practice responsibly and legally resulted in the taking of this lion."

We've got to kill more lions to save lions!

ecil the lion's killer revealed as American dentist
Well, he did literally "kill it."
The fricking slant-eyed Chinese take about a coal train load of endangered animals out of Africa each and every day for potion making and other third world shite.
The Lion King is dead, Long Live the king!

Since they don't just donate the money, they truly don't really care they are just killing for fun which is kind of psychotic. Much like when a tpos kills another human over something we all see as trivial. You see why we are so upset?
