That was a fun way of saying no, they aren't at this time.

the only reason they aren't is so that hunts can continue and whoever is taking the money can continue taking the money

corruption rules everything there

African lions are in very real danger of complete extinction.
It was much, much worse before all of the American-Africans and South African-Africans came in. Indigenous people basically killed anything worth anything almost to extinction. Lions, tigers, elephants, rhinos, zebras, giraffes, etc.

With the white invaders came well educated biologists that imposed their will on mother Africa, and stopped allowing the natives to kill their own animals completely off. Such a tragedy that animals need to be culled and sick people actually pay money to the reserves to do it.

Every credible wildlife conservation organization and the federal government has requested for years to put the African Lion on endangered species list.

Its a farce that it hasn't happened yet.

And the fact you are still trying to compare killing lions to tax breaks proves you aren't grounded in reality and logic. Have fun killing your exotic protected predators, not eating them, and facebooking the pics.

Really manly and cool bro.

Wait, would this offend posters in here too?

It would certainly offend the posters here...unless it was an old marlin or one that never "breeded".

common sense when you do look at facts

population has gone from over 200,000 to less than 25,000 in the last 50 years, several countries have lost all of their lion population.

the African lion should be listed as endangered, its just not

Given the overall terrible human condition of Africa, and the large amount of animals on the threatened and endangered species list from Africa, one can reasonably assume the money going towards conservation is really going into someone's pockets.

I think it's retarded to ruin a guy's livelihood for this. Fine him, jail him, whatever it is but it's over the top to drag him this much through the ringer.

And, we, as southerners who spend a lot of time in the outdoors, should take more credit where we can, because right now nobody thinks "oh southern conservatives, yeah, big fans of the environment." Part of that involves eliminating the stigma of doing what you can to conserve.

Since you've already demonstrated that you know nothing about science, I'll help you out a little bit.

Re-establishing an entire population or species doesn't happen overnight. It doesn't happen over a year. Doesn't happen over 5 or sometimes 10 years. There are so many variables involved in it that I don't feel like even listing one because they'll all be over your head.

Why does anyone want to kill a lion?

Serious question.

Especially one that is baited/lured and spotted for you?

Why?

You tried, and then edited your post because you can't stand behind your actions. How does shaming someone and dragging them through the mud help them get new clients?

Exactly what you were trying to do was to hurt this guy's business a.k.a. his livelihood
