CD Scammers at Siegen/I-10 Wal Mart

Watch out for these guys in the parking lot. They have CDs in plastic cases that they are handing out to people trying to promote their music. The problem is if you grab it they will demand you pay them $20 for it. I also saw them put headphones on a random guy's head as he got out of his car.

At least (most) panhandlers don't try to intimidate you and strong arm you into giving them money
I know I never do. I just sit there with my cardboard sign and wave with a smile on my face and am grateful if anyone gives me something

Are you new to scammers? This is literally one of the oldest scams out there. They just went from tapes to CDs.

I don’t understand. Just because they demand $20 doesn’t mean you gotta pay it. I’d tell them gfy and continue on my merry way

No it happened to me on the Hollywood Walk of Fame before too. Some random black guy comes up to me and starts chatting with me out of no where, asking where I am from and all that. Then all of a sudden places a CD in my hands. I acted confused and tried to give it back to him and he said "Why don't you want to support a local rapper trying to make it in Los Angeles?" and tried to guilt trip me into giving him money. My brother in law bailed me out and told the guy to frick off.

From what I saw there were 3 of them. Probably try to strong arm you into giving them money, although I dont think a Wal Mart parking lot that is wide open with security is a good place for that. They obviously didnt think this all the way through

That’s one of the worst Walmart’s in town. You’d think it would be ok since it’s in a decent area but you would be wrong.

Plenty of times I have driven to the one in Denham Springs or O'Neal to avoid it
I think the reason it sucks is because people in the ghetto areas go to the Siegen for the reason that they think it will be better since its in a nicer area

The correct response involves something along the lines of "See deez nutz!". You will both laugh and the next thing you know you are buying him an All Star at the Waffle House.
