woman caused the collision from lack of awareness (because she was most likely texting) and now wants victimhood status from her own lack of attention
Is this a troll attempt gone bad? He clearly veered over to push her.

Yea but that is no reason for a jogger to commit attempted murder.
DO you think he saw that bus coming with the eyes in the back of his head?
The guy is an a-hole for sure, but he didn't try to murder her based on what's been provided.

Can we all give the driver an attaboy? Those were some damn fine reflexes that saved that woman's life.

Dude needs a medal

total BS, the woman should have seen the guy jog right up to her and "she" (not him) veered to the right as they came together.
Bad troll attempt. He obviously veered into her.
They will end up catching this guy, too many CCTVs in the UK. They can follow him all the way back to his home.

Does it matter? He knew there was a road right there which usually has things travelling on it that could kill someone

YEs, intent matters for murder.

Still isn't murder.

I think if he has ears, he can hear a bus coming up behind him 5 feet to his right.
Regardless of the bus, he pushed her down toward a lane of traffic.

The guy is an a-hole, I said as much. Still didn't try to murder her by bus.

It sure does, and the video makes it look like he intended to knock her into the street which could very easily lead to being killed

Still isn't murder.
Probably not, but he should have definitely been aware that what he did could pretty easily cause death

Negligent homicide if she had been hit and killed ( at least in the USA)?

Well yes, actually

"she" (not him) veered to the right as they came together.

No shite. My response was I don't think the intent turns on him intending to knock her in front of a bus, but it turns on his intent to knock her into the road. If his intent was to knock her into oncoming traffic, to me it doesn't matter whether he knew a bus coming or not

How do you know he meant for her to go all the way into the road?

f his intent was to knock her into oncoming traffic, to me it doesn't matter whether he knew a bus coming or not
Again, how do you know his intent?

I don't. I just don't think it matters whether he knew a bus was coming or not. It all depends on whether he meant to push her into oncoming traffic

if the bus didn't hit, you must acquit.

London has more cameras than any city I've ever seen. How is it possible that they don't have better video of the incident? Or at least a better shot of the runner from another location?
... or did the London coppers not give enough of a shite about it to spend the time to go through all of the footage? (This one has my vote.)
