I'm interested in trying CBD oil for chronic psun that I have from RA. They sell it in BR, and online legally, but there is a potential risk of popping positive on a random drug test.

Anyone experience testing positive from CBd, or aware of someone who did? Can't afford to lose my job, but don't want to pass up potential pain relief either.

I know a few people that have failed drug tests for using CBD but this was a while back when you never really knew what you were ingesting. The market/testing may be more reliable now that CBD is blowing up.

I've heard it can actually have some good benefits but I'd caution you to be very careful. More research is needed to determine if CBD oil can a gateway to further marijuana use. Just make sure you are communicating with your doctor at every step.

That's what scares me. I'm afraid my company won't give two shits when it shows THC levels. It kind of sucks to see potential treatments, but not be able to use it because of misguided rule or law.

I've never actually smoked weed, but a few years ago said I would once it became legal or I retired. But now I want to try the benefits for an entirely different reason. Not for a high, but for its potential benefits.

Never thought of it as a gateway drug.

Yes it can show up on drug tests. Unless you have a script, I probably wouldn’t do it if you are subject to random screenings

Who provides scripts? I asked my rheumatologist today, but he said he represents an entire company, not just his own practice.

If you are clean now, ask your company D&A administrator. They will know specific rules and/or exclusions. Nothing to lose if legitimate.

The crazy thing is, I have to inject the chemicals into my body. Take prednisone daily, basically poison my body so I can go to work and provide for my family. But I can't take an over the counter oil because of where the oil comes from. Sounds stupid. I can't excercise because of the pain and stiffness. So my overall health suffers for a dumb rule.

I am clean now, but what does D&A stand for? I have brought to HR, but their hands are tied to the handbook.

Drug & Alcohol

Well, your only other choice would be to call a facility that conducts the screening and ask them if it shows up. Would you really trust your job using comments saying go for it from users on a sports board?

I thought CBD oil had no THC in it?

Not looking for the go for its. Basically looking for confirmation that others have tested positive before I spend $100 to get fired.

That's good because data shows it isn't.

And to OP, as long as you're getting high quality CBD oil it will not show up on tests for THC. I'd caution you to do your research before you make the purchase as some "CBD" oil is actually just hemp oil and some CBD oil contains trace amounts of THC.

It has about .3%, but if taken daily can supposedly cause a positive test.

If the oil doesn't have THC in it I don't think it will help with pain. Good luck man, I have RA also. Let me know if it works

CBD oil may help with the inflammation, though.

ETA: and some evidence exits that it helps manage pain
