Causeway northbound Friday afternoon

Haven't been across the lake in 6 years. When does the Friday afternoon causeway northbound traffic start to get bad and when does it stop being backed up? Have dinner reservations at 7:30 in downtown Covington. Help a brother out.

The causeway over the lake doesn't back up unless there's an accident. However, when you get on the north shore, it's a cluster frick to get to 21/covington. 190 ain't a whole lot better close to 12. Just give yourself 20 extra minutes to get through that shite.
Just keep checking gmaps/waze. If it goes red when you're heading out, use the 55 to 12 route. However, 10 east and west on the spillway is FACKED right now.
