You could have saved a lot of time and effort by just telling us all you’re gay, not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Both cats and dogs are great in their own way but OP is right - cats will absolutely run away if the right bird comes along though

Dogs are great at giving love but they're so easy. Nothing like earning a cat's trust and it choosing to walk over and snuggle into your lap on its own accord.

Question:
What does it feel like being a psychopath?

ETA: And if you are free ranging your cat outdoors......frick you.

This message brought to you by the Toxoplasma gondii, parasites found in cats’ waste that allow for brain control.

But you do have to clean up their poop in their litter box…which goes to my point above.

As someone who's cleaning up after cats and a dog, I definitely preferred the litter box during those three straight rainy days...

yes on paper they are.

i love both my cats and dogs and probably reserve my favorite spot for my tiny lil cat.

but few things compare to the joy of my goofy arse 80lb dog just going ape shite all just because i came home.

so, instead of one is better than the other, both are just great!
This is the correct take

No red blooded American man prefers a cat over a dog. This was discussed in a thread yesterday.

If a cat owner dies in the house and not found for awhile, a cat will start to eat on the body after about an hour. A dog? They don't unless its been a really long time and there is nothing else available for them to eat. frick a cat.

I feel like your argument for preferring a dog should be more than "it won't eat me when I'm dead"

Also, it will definitely eat you

You're saying cats are easier than dogs.

The bond between human and dog trumps everything you said.

We are down to a couple of cats right now and 3 fish. Once they're gone, no more pets.

Following your logic, a jar of air is a better pet than a dog too.

dogs don't jump up on your kitchen table and eat your turkey.

Yep. There’s no time I miss my buddy more than when I walk through the front door after work.

Put a cat and a dog in separate closets for a couple hours, then let them out. Which one jumps on you wagging their tail feeling so happy to see you?
