It’s ok to eat fish...cuz they...don’t have any feelings.

meat is murder or fish is murder? Maybe salad is murder?

Honestly, unless you cut out all meat in the name of Jesus, you aren't really devoting anything to him.

McDonald's fish sandwich
I watched a history channel show once that showed how all of the fish for all of the McDonalds were caught on one single ship.

If you have ever eaten a McDonald’s Filet-o-fish there is a good chance that it came from the Alaska Ocean. The Alaska Ocean is the largest catcher/processor ship in the U.S. fleet with a capacity to catch and process 300 tons of Alaskan Pollock each day.

That’s not really how it works either. Fasting does not mean no meat and all the food you want. Supposed to be abstain from meat and fast, aka one full meal for the day.

When I was a kid it was a mortal sin to eat meat on Fridays.Die with mortal sin,you went to hell. Then they changed it, could eat meat on Fridays except certain religious holidays. What happened to the people that went to hell before they changed the rule.
I remember a few times,I forgot and the meat on Fridays.I would be a nervous wreck until I could get to confession.
Then they change the frikken rule,

Wendy's has a good one and I believe they sell it only during
lent.Never liked McDonald's.
Chick-fil-A came out with one a couple of years back during Lent as well... don't waste your time. It's okay but about the size of a biscuit.
I'll give Arby's a shot.They do a good job on other sandwiches
Don't forget Burger King...they have the impossible Whopper line.
No meat in there too.
Taco Bell for the win with meatless options, the entire menu is void of meat and meat byproducts. It may look like meat, but it ain't meat.

If you live in New Orleans, and you're eating fast food fish, I feel bad for you. You can get a cheap shrimp poboy everywhere.

if arby's is better than mcdonalds, shouldn't you be sacrificing and eating the worst one?
it's lent. sacrifice.
it's lent. sacrifice.

(nonpracticing, nonbelieving...but I'm baptized and confirmed so I'm good)
But yeah, you certainly don't have to believe.

Then they change the frikken rule,
is why the holy, catholic, and apostolic church, is not found in the Roman Catholic Church,
but in the body of believers everywhere throughout all time.

I go to church on christmas eve with my mom and take the eucharist then
Confession can suck it, though. I'm still traumatized from being forced to do that as an 11 year old kid.

The whole thing was likely an attempt to help fishermen out at a time when they were hurting and pleading with the Pope at the time to do something. Ask someone who actually abstains from meat why they do it and there is never a reason that makes sense.
