Never been on a cruise, but we want to go. Which one is better? We are going to leave out of New Orleans.

According to this board as I have seen before this actually should read

Traahy carnival or trashy royal carribean.
Apparently they are both floating trailer parks

Did I get that right from past threads?

Is this a serious question?

Carnival is really cheap and still fun IMO, but RC is miles better.

Trashier passengers are on carnival. I have done Carnival and NCL cruises and the NCL passengers were the polar opposite of Carnival

NCL, Celebrity and Princess are lines I'd place a cut above. RCCL used to be really nice but they started catering to the Carnival crowd as well. I haven't been on a cruise in over 5 years because of the changes I saw.

Princess is great, but they don't sail out of New Orleans. You'd have to go to Houston for their closest port.

No party crowd on NCL, majority of crowd was 50+

There was a party crowd on the carnival cruise...my group and like two other groups.

I went on NCL last November out of new orleans and while it was an older crowd there was definitely a younger partying element. I was trashed the whole week
