5.3L V8 or the 6.1?
Be sure to take care of the 5.3L motor. If maintained properly (especially oil changes) you'll get 300K miles out of the vehicle. If not, you'll be dying to ditch it after 75k. I know it sounds kind of obvious but those are fantastic motors that get pretty finicky as they age.

Not only that, let your money work for you. The market is way up right now, invest your money and pay a low interest note. I guarantee you'll make more than you pay in intereset

No Carplay in the infotainment system.
You always have to check for mechanical and software advances between model years. Engine/Transmission maybe more important but I think computer/software/autonomous driving features are going to become much bigger deals when it comes to how many model years back you want to go when buying used.

It may have been owned by a rental car company. There are a lot of these out there.

I would assume people that rent Tahoes which are much more expensive to rent don't rag them out like a mustang. Also, you can bet rental companies keep the servicing current.
ETA: All of the ones I have seen are sold as certified pre-owned and have a better warranty than a new Tahoe.
