Correct. Bought the car just over state line in Alabama so they did not collect tax.

Yea it's unbelievable nowadays. And if you're into fishing/boating, boats are fricking insanely priced now too.

I thought dealers were required to include and take care of tax. I just bought a car in Texas and they added my Louisiana and parish tax. Alabama might be different though

Nope. I signed document stating I would be responsible for the taxes.

To poster above I anticipate 15000 a year. Minimum 10 year investment on this vehicle.

You cant register it until the taxes are paid.
