Not a chance. When they can catch up with Chase and others in technology, and not some shitty generic app that barely works with their logo poorly squeeze into a corner, I’ll think about it. Local banks are generally trash unless you’re a boomer who has to know Sallie behind the desk because it makes you feel important when she calls you by name.
I travel for work way too much for a local bank to be my primary account.

definitely didn't get paid today.
It's frustrating that Cap One is being purposely vague with everything.
They refused to even acknowledge that there was a problem until yesterday afternoon.
The problem started Wednesday.

I'm an IT guy.
This really surprises me because I would have expected that their payment processing platform would be hosted by one of the big cloud providers (AWS, etc.) and would be relatively immune to something like this.
My guess is someone installed an update that was not tested adequately and not sufficiently scaled.

This reason would be worse than a power outage
Instead of an "act of God", one of the largest banks in the world is crippled due to "incompetence".

I don't get much grace from them when I am having "technical issues" paying my credit card bill

Transferred some money from my riverlands account the other day and now seeing it never posted to my cap one account

Bank of Oklahoma customers are reporting a similar problem.
Something to do with an ISP outage in Little Rock.

Sometimes you have to rob Peter to pay Paul.
But you have to be careful cause nobody likes a sore Peter.

This is not a regional problem.

Problem #1 - don’t bank with a large institution, find a local credit union or bank.
That may work for Bill, 47, Krotz Springs who’s never been farther than Baton Rouge and Lafayette.

I get it. But that was the explanation that was published.
Purely coincidental that both Bank of Oklahoma and Capital One have outages at the exact same time and not yet resolved?
I don't think so.

My employees that use capital one are blowing my shite up right now
I don't blame capital one for the issue....it could happen to any bank, corporation, or government entity at this point. Their communication about the issue has been bad, though. Just tell everybody you fricked up.

Many credit unions have shared branching which will allow you to use any other credit union that participates in the program.
