Odds this would have happened if there was no recall petition? Zero?

This was negotiated when he did the 10-day survey.

Question is why did he suddenly resign as #2.

interesting. guess his boss didn't come to his defense

If that article is true I don't blame the guy for moving to the private sector.

Among his tasks, Pichardo “will begin working with us today to ascertain exactly where our full-duty cops are and how they might soon be reorganized," Ferguson wrote. Isn’t that Fergusons job?

Nah his job is to sleep with Teedy in the Pontalba.

I let my employees know if I have to do my job and theirs I don’t need both of us and guess who hits the bricks.

Didn’t they bring in a former NYPD chief in the 90s to clean up NOPD?

he resigned abruptly in 2020

Sounds like he told NY Mayor Bill de Blasio to take his covid rules and shove it

His abrupt resignation comes after reports the mayor Bill de Blasio was meddling in police affairs, specifically how to enforce coronavirus restrictions.

Pichardo's final straw allegedly happened when he returned home from long hours at the Borough Park protests over new COVID-related restrictions last week. Sources say he missed calls and messages from the mayor, which lead to a "blow out" over the phone.

The mayor wanted Pichardo to handle a block party in the Bronx that Pichardo felt a precinct commander could.

They brought in Richard Pennington from D.C. On the day of his inauguration, he learned of the investigation of Len Davis. Davis was an NOPD officer who was convicted of hiring a hit on someone who filed a brutality complaint against him.

Did Teedy really realize that she was bringing in a Hispanic, born and reared in the Dominican Republic and well loved by the NYC Hispanic community? LINK

When she demands something for her minority/majority, I expect the cartoons to reuse the old Lone Ranger-Tonto exchange where Tonto says "what you mean we, white man?"

Only took an actual recall to get Latoya off her arse in Switzerland and doing something here. Love to see her squirming and having to make moves she denied were issues

This - only when FINALLY challenged for her incompetence aggressively and not backing down when she came back on it did she actually do something that might actually be productive.

But alas even if the poor guy is competent he will be drowned in meetings and committee's and neutered I fear.
