Go before or after summer. Wear comfortable shoes. Gets dusty as hell, take some allergy meds if that tends to bother you.

Skip Old Mill Marketplace and the mountain. Stick to the main part.

Takes all weekend to see and then some.

Be patient - traffic on I20 can get backed up.

The outdoor vendors can be a great history lesson. There's a booth that is an over stock booth. That's not usually my kind of thing, but there really is some great deals in it. Don't skip the convention center (big blue building).

Arbors are the covered "in doors" area. They're along the main highway.

Old friend of mine owns it and makes a fortune. Henry Lewis also owns Lewis Chevrolet where I buy a lot of vehicles. If you need a corvette he sells more than any dealership in Texas. Just up the hill from the market.

I grew up there and still have property there. Most of these posts are spot on. You can see a fraction of it in five hours--small fraction. I know the place like the back of my hand. Ask me anything you need.

If you want the pavilions park off state hwy 19 on either side of the road. If you get there early enough you can park right next to the pavilions which makes it easy to take loads back to your car rather than carry stuff around all day.

If you want the unreserved part and the wheeling and dealing--park on the west side off farm to market road 859.

For food--the baked potato has been there forever. There is also a Cajun place that is decent in the middle of the pavilions.

Let me know what else you need!
