LP and Ascension schools are pretty close but there's definitely a white trash element in parts of both parishes. LP is more well known for it but white flight from BR has taken over some. LP is 89% crackers

LP - 9th Ranked Public School System in La last year. Even after the Floods.
LP - 9th Ranked in AP Classes/Advance Placement Testing in La last year. Even after the Floods.
LP - Top 10 Ranked LEAP Testing in La last year. Even after the Floods.
I get that being the Top Ranked system in this state is not saying much. But even after an event that displaced thousands of kids and disrupted their home environment in a major way, they still performed incredibly well all things considered.
The derision they get isn't deserved.

I'm not saying that they are bad. I said that they were on par with Ascension to me. I think both are usually top 10 in the state. My point was just that there is definitely some white trash in LP (and AP) and that's probably who made that post.
