So the MS ballot will have two options on the medical marijuana and it’s designed to confuse voters but basically you have 65 and 65A. One will allow only terminally ill patients to receive the medical marijuana and will be ruled over by the politicians. The politicians will decide who they allow to have dispensaries, where they can be built, who gets a license, etc. The other would allow a doctor to determine whether any patient needs the medical marijuana for their condition and the dept of health will be the ruler over who can/can’t open dispensaries, where they can be built, licenses, etc for selling. i have noticed a lot of political ads telling people not to vote for the option to let doctors and dept of health decide.

Are there equal No to 65 and Yes to 65A ads?

fricking Kentucky. Pissing down their leg on this.
Sen. Robert Stivers should be called out regularly over this bullshite opposition to cannabis legalization:
Couldn't even pass what would've been the most restrictive bill in the country for medical. Morons.
Would open up the door for some new treatments for depression in psych. Research is already finding benefit in microdosing.

Within a few years Mississippi will pass up Louisiana in most categories and Louisiana will be dead last - finally having the statistical support to back up what everyone already knows: that it is a complete and utter shithole.

Of course... That's how the politicians get all their fun money. There is no public service. Only personal gain.

Louisiana medical marijuana doesn’t see many patients. It’s all locked up within the medical field/government. Mississippi’s looks like it’s real medical marijuana readily available for everybody.

Louisiana is usually last in everything so don't expect any movement on these issues any time soon

Not even close. the politicians got theirs on the ballot after a grass roots campaign was started to get medical marijuana on the ballot is the rumor. The one that the politicians will control is pretty vague. There’s actually a good thread on fb on the Save Jxn page from Oct 10th that gives really good details on the differences. I will be voting for 65 because I think it should be allowed and determined by the doctor. 65A sounds like a political money grab to me where they pretend to care for SOME people who would benefit from medicinal marijuana as long as they can get their pockets lined.

Got it.
So MISSISSIPPI voters who havent... vote 65 YES. 65A NO.

Just tried to read about it and the way it's presented on the ballot seems confusing as hell. Maybe it's just me.
Our bumfrick legislature intentionally made it confusing as hell. They're trying to make it as difficult as possible to pass.

Louisiana will undoubtedly be last to jump on the tax dollar gravy train.
As fricking usual.

One would think DC had passed the shroom law already given the level of sense on display

What's wrong with the quote?

Man, it pisses me off that Louisiana is going to be one of the last for recreational marijuana.
It is sad that I'll be buying legal recreational mushrooms before anyone in Louisiana can buy legal marijuana.

There's sufficient research and studies that show medical marijuana is beneficial and outweighs the cons for certain populations, particularly those with seizures and with cancer. He's full of shite.
There are FDA approved drugs that are pharmaceutical grade THC that are offered to cancer patients for pain and appetite. Dronabinol the most popular.
He's just playing to his shitty base that thinks we'll end up with Reefer Madness.

Mississippi is somewhat of a shocker
Decriminalized it big time before most of the other Southern states and Ole Miss used to have that world class medical marijuana research lab.
They've been ahead of the South on weed for a while.

Need to accept that Louisiana is the bottom of the barrel for the most part. No progress is wanted here
