I dont necessarily care abt events being cancelled lately bc it doesnt seem to happen all that much in context, but cancelling school due to thunderstorms is insanity.

It’s virtue signaling. These weather guys are beating each other off to see who can come up with the most dire weather forecast anytime there is an event. In the old days we would just deal with whatever happened. Now we need to rip our panties off anytime it’s not gonna be ideal weather.

They always say,”…tomorrow could have as much as X inches of rain”. Painting the worst picture possible. And that is where all of the attention goes. Worst case scenario. When the weathermen have an idea on the “probable” weather conditions.
Then decision makers believe it is their job to protect us. That we cannot make a decision on our own. Or we cannot make the correct decision for ourselves.

I checked the radar when I posted this and it was clear all around. I just it again and its just scattered showers. I stand 100 percent behind my post. We have become a bunch of pussies.

Flash flood watch is until midnight and the radar shows swaths of storms all afternoon/evening for the selected areas
