After a year of dish, I'm going back to Directv. How much is cancelation? Is it $20 per month? Or other fees? Tia

A cancellation penalty. However, they will try to save you. I ended up with a Hopper 3 and 6 months free of college sports package. This, after receiving a $15.00 credit for 6 months as well.
Why are you looking to cancel?
Dish, by far and away, has the better technology and dare I say, better customer service. DirecTV is exactly the opposite.

My wife has always hated Dish since we installed it. Too used to DirecTv I guess. And I want NFL Sunday ticket again

Dish has Redzone. There's only so many games one can watch. Plus if you have access to a computer and VPN, it's easy to watch other games outside your marketplace.

Find a relative or friend who would like dish and transfer it to their house (it's still in your name so make sure you trust them).
The only thing I see that directv has that dish doesn't is WGN and Sunday NFL ticket.
