I suppose it differed from state to state but I imagine anyone who can pay for it won’t be turned down by the seller.

Basic Rider Course
This 15+ hour course is designed for the beginner or returning motorcyclist. Emphasis is placed on the physical skills, proper attitude and knowledge necessary for navigating safely in traffic. No prior riding experience is necessary. Course graduates are exempt from taking the riding and written tests when applying for a motorcycle endorsement. Department of Public Safety (DPS) training motorcycles are available for use in the course.

That's pretty cool.

Absolutely. I worked at a Yamaha-Kawasaki-KTM dealership and all you needed was a regular current DL.

However, if you didn't have a cycle endorsement we wouldn't let you drive it off the lot. You could have a friend with an endorsement take delivery for you or we would help you push it to the curb and you could take it from there.

Yes, had own a few.

Would I now?

Last bike I own was back in 1977. July 4 1976, home on leave, my Dad and one of my brothers were on my Dad's bike. A 18 wheeler ran them into the center wall on I-10 and didn't stop. My Dad lost his left arm at his shoulder. My brother at the time weight was around 175 lbs. 6+ months in ICU and like to died three times, he made it. Just about every bone in his body was broke.

To this day, we don't know the person that stopped to help both of them. The lady saw what happen and she happen to be a nurse. Both would of bled to death right on the spot if it wasn't for that lady.

So, no. I wouldn't own a road bike.
