Is your backyard considered "in public"?

Probably depends on what you look like naked. Some are offensive, while others are not.

If people can see you then I would assume it would fall under indecent exposure

Especially if kids can see you

Yes you can. You may also have to register as a sex offender for the rest of your life

I wouldn’t recommend it

Depends on the state, but most places it is fine. That is, as long as you are doing normal activities. If you are screwing the ol' lady or diddling yourself, you are breaking the law.

Can't see into my backyard from anywhere that is considered public I had an ex that bet me I wouldn't take my dogs out for their morning outing while naked. She lost. Hell, I put the shingles on my room barefoot and wearing only boxers. I love having a couple dozen acres in bfe.
