So you have no sense of history nor any understanding of why Beauregard had a statue in the first place. Not surprising coming from you
I do.
Which is why I don't care to immortalise a traitor.

Removal of a traitor's statue does not bother me.
He chose his side, and he chose poorly.
He was pardoned and later fought for civil rights and voting rights for freed slaves.
Your ignorance is astounding.

And that's why we stop responding. That is willful ignorance at BEST, denial of history and culture of that era, judging it by the P.C. culture of today's era.

Doesn’t there signature face paint harken more to their African tribal roots than sambo black face?
It’s to the point that any dark paint on any face is offensive, regardless of context.

Who are you to bring facts to a topic based on feelings?

People like you are the reason why these types of nuts continue to attack everything. Your kind keeps giving in.

They are keeping their distance until they can figure out which side is the most virtuous. Its hard when the identities are similar.

Beauregard's statue removal was the most telling of all. It's not about history. It's about white man bad. These idiots don't even know what the man fought for years after the war and how that is also important to our history.

Maybe we can get a blackface Zulu statue up there

You mean people not from nola?
That would be magilda

If you'll read the thread, I support the coconuts in this, not the nuts.
And how was your experience on the front lines of the statue controversy?
Or did you just bitch and moan about giving an inch from your computer.

As a white man:
If you can’t handle me at my civil war statues
You can’t handle me at my electricity and modern medicine
If you can’t handle me at my civil war statues
You can’t handle me at my electricity and modern medicine

So, as a white baw, how offended are you when you see a black guy paint his face in the Zulu paint?

You don't realize that you already supported the nuts and have empowered them with your stupidity and ignorance.

Well I don’t know where he’s from, but he’s the type that constantly thinks “no big deal” every time another group of crazed liberals want to tear something down or rename something or get someone fired.

Not at all.
Wasn't offended about the statues either. But didn't get my panties in a wad over their removal.

Way to completely trivialize a justified outrage.
