Boots on the ground is not going to win wars these days

Look at Russia and Ukraine

Talk about a stupid war for both sides and the amount of lives lost is terrible for both sides
I’m really not sure what they are fighting for other than putins ego

That’s not a thing

If absolutely is. There are lots of videos out of Ukraine of Russian soldiers being killed by drones.

There was a video from the middle east recently of an Iranian drone flying into a US military building.

Drone warfare has changed the whole dynamic.

FPV drones are taking out soldiers, tanks, transports...counter measures are constantly being employed.

Its a whole new brave world:

I think the time of large scale boots on the ground is over for a country like The United States.

Take a look at the Russia/Ukraine conflict.

Everyone said the same thing five years ago because of drones, precision artillery, advance 5th gen fighter jets, etc. and that conflict has reverted back to trench warfare.
Dwindling human resources is a major issue for both sides.

You can argue that the USA is in a different league than either Russia or Ukraine but Russia was supposed to have one of the strongest and more advanced militaries in the world at the start of the conflict.

And don’t think for a second that China or India won’t just throw people at the front lines to overwhelm the opposition.

They'd have to find a way to get over here first.
