Call Advanced Office Systems and get PJ to hook you up with one of their Canon units. I worked there years ago and those guys know their shite and have the best equipment. Solid company that will lead you in the right direction. They're in Industriplex - think the number is 225-752-7700.

Don't buy cheap shite and people won't hate you. That's all I have to say. The main office printer has been broken for 3 fricking weeks. And they ordered some ginormously expensive replacement that has to be signed off by multiple people. And I have to walk to the other side of the fricking building to print and I have to print 100+ sheets a day.

You wouldn't believe the places my group goes into running cheap equipment buying ink from Amazon. Usually it's costing them .06 to .08 cents for black and white. But but we buy it from Amazon! And it's usually the a-hole boss that doesn't want to see a salesman yet he's spending 6k a month to much on his documents.

Email and Internet fax. Why do you need a printer?

Why wouldn't I need a printer? It's a business. I have to print out proposals, contracts to sign, and bring policies to people. That was a weird question.

Every bit of that can be done electronically.

You can't legally electronically sign the papers that I need signed. When I'm making a proposal to a client that I want $100,000 from, I'm not going to email it to him, I'm going to put it on cotton paper? You're way out in left field dude.

I truly have no idea what he's getting at. I can't function 3 hours without a printer.

You think internationally companies that do business together meet up and hand sign contracts? You thinksl companies that have thousands of employees print copies of policies and pass them out to every employee? I just bought a house and every single document was signed electronically. You are the one way out in left field. Sounds like you business acumen is outdated. I would choose the other guy who is more forward thinking.

I use a Lexmark. I do a LOT of printing. Everything on it has been trouble free for 3 years. I cannot say enough good things about it.

I put my email on the first page. Shoot me a email can at least help you get going in the right direction even if I can't do it for you.

and they're $90 a piece.

Why are you not buying the generic toner for like $15 each? Read the reviews on Amazon and find a good one and they work just as well.

It's leasing and it's for smart business minds that want to always be running and have more important things to do than order overpriced supplies off amazon.

Yea saving money is only for stupid people not for smart busy people like you.

Yea you need something beyond what most here will recommend. I thought you were talking a basic all in one for a small business.

Your 15 dollar toner will make 1875 copies on some of my machines and include service if it breaks.

I don't print near enough to justify a lease like OP. Most of my business is email and e-docs through SignNow, Adobe Sign, etc

I maybe print 10-20 pages per day so a $300 machine every few years makes sense for me vs a lease. I have a Brother MFC-9325CW that I am about to replace only because the wireless printing has been giving me headaches. Though he won't admit it, I think one of my guys dropped it or something when we recently moved into the new office.

I don't know who Colony is but most executives and legal teams would prefer an electronic record that is time-stamped. If you don't think so, you are in denial. And yes it is legally binding.

Read all about it

U.S. electronic signature laws and history

What happens to your paper contract when the building burns down? What about when the ink fades? Paper deteriorates?

There are services that can provide these tools for small businesses very affordably.

Docusign E-Signature

E-Fax Faxing Simplified

And for Scanning there are ton of mobile apps. This one is free. How free is that leased MFP?
Free Iphone image to PDF converter

or you could just buy a cheap scanner. Still, absolutely no need for a printer and fax though.

I'm pretty sure I know my industry much better than you do. You run your business like you want and I'll do the same. I'm much more interested in making my clients happy than some guy on a message board that thinks he knows what he's talking about.
