The mass hysteria grocery shopping should have ended already and everyone returning back to a normal shopping schedule. Why is there still lines at places and items out of stock?

Because my mom keeps buying toilet paper. Because even though she has enough, now she’s buying it for me. Because I can’t find any. Because the people like her are buying it all. Because they aren’t essential workers and I guess have shite else to do besides hoard groceries.

It’s pretty normal around my house after all the spring breakers left. Everything back in stock. Still some limits on paper products but they have the big packs in stock so no big deal.

There is going to be a rush on groceries as long as restaurants are cut off at the knees.

I have saved money the past two weeks. I have not swiped my AMEX once in 14 days...likely the longest of my adult life. Every meal at home, eating frozen meats and canned veggies that have been in their for months, no extreme needs for anything wild. I likely will go tomorrow just to get some eggs and milk, but aside from that, its fine.
