They weren’t knock offs, they were NBA official merchandise, they were just old and worn. I only paid $1 each for them, sold for $42 total.

I might be interested in discussing them.

These two are the only two I have, but the guy having the garage sale says he believes there’s a ton more. He’s supposed to call me tomorrow. The guy had tote after tote of sci-fi paperback books. They were his FIL’s, and said he was a regular D&D player. He just haven’t found them yet.

The extra shiny stitching/numbers is the #1 tell of a knockoff.

I didn't say that it wasn't a good deal for you - just that anybody with sense recognized that they were knockoffs and adjusted price accordingly

ETA: being able to see piles of stitching on the inside is tell #2. (Jazz jersey) I bet it was a spider web behind that front logo. (That's why the knockoffs crinkle up over time on the logos - the 8 pounds of thread they use all shrink and stretch in different ways)

Let’s see it.

I had a really good weekend with the slot cars, video games, art pottery, and a few other items.

I enjoy reading these threads.

My wife would smother me in my sleep if I ever tried to bring in random items a stranger's home or garage into our house. She's no germaphobe, but she'd freak out instantly.

My wife was the same when I first started. Back then I was doing items where I paid $1-$5, selling for maybe $30. Then one day I came home with two boxes of old hotel keys (about 60). I paid $30 for them. My wife said to quit wasting money and throw them away.
I told her if I don’t double my money, I will stop my hobby.
The first two keys I listed sold instantly for $120 each. They were from the old MGM that burnt down. The rest of the keys sold for a few hundred dollars.
She never complained again (that’s a lie, she still complains).

I believe it’s this one. It’s in attic i thought it had a different layout though. I will have to get it down. Got from my Grandfather about 30 years ago

That’s it. He has a piece of wood underneath that angles it upward. Below pic is a more representative look at it.

That one is a better (more valuable) model than the model I have. Yours is worth about $450, mine is $350 (not the one I own, it’s trashed, being sold for parts, worth maybe $100)

I guess I need to get it out of the 150 degree attic and put a new light and clock components in it

That wallpaper is something else.
Old LSU fan gear tends to be much more amateur-looking than modern stuff but it's also more creative and interesting. "interesting" is a loaded word ofc but that wallpaper has it in spades.

It’s so bad it’s awesome. Like I said in the OP, I sold a roll to Sparkafatty about 15 years ago or so. He paid $150 for the roll, did his bathroom.
