Not "trolling" this time. It's genuinely baffling to me.

The excuses you hear are weak as shite, and you just know what they want to say is "it's sparkly and makes people notice me".

Example of weak excuse:the battery on my watch lasts longer than my phone battery.

Seriously?

My reasons:

-I like the way they look
-I don't carry my phone with me everywhere so I actually use it
-I like that I can switch it up
-I feel like I'm fricking naked without it, similar to not having my wallet in my pocket

Soon all monetary transactions will be able to work through your phone. Will you stop carrying a wallet?

There are A LOT of things people wear that aren't NEARLY as utilitarian as a wrist watch. Why don't you get bothered by those? Basically all "fashion" is useless. People just like the way it looks. My nice dress shoes can't tell me the time and date.

When did "I like the way it looks" become unacceptable?

So don't wear a watch. Jesus Christ man, I'm not going to be here every day to walk you through life.

I have two clients I see almost everyday who do not allow phones past their security checkpoints.

I don't intend to, cause it's not 1990. But if you saw a thread every other day that said "can I get a rating on this new tiara" and you saw grown men debating which tiara was the prettiest, you'd pop in and ask what the frick was going on.

That's all this is.

It's easier to use than pulling out my phone, which I may not always have with me. Helps with smoothly ending a job interview or meeting as well. I'm not a guy that would spend a lot on a nice watch, but can understood how people appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into one. People that go overboard and wear the band loose to imply that they don't engage in manual labor usually look cheesy as hell though.

Yeah I probably will.

It's not unacceptable, it's just weird to see adult males trying to figure out which piece of jewelry will garner them the most attention. It's just weird and I don't understand it. That's what the internet is for, complaining about things you don't understand.

Well I hope I wouldn't be on a board that regularly discussed men wearing tiaras in the first place.

Fair.

And most don't do it for attention. If they're like me, they genuinely like to collect them. I like to know how they work, have different ones for different occasions (dress, casual, exercise, etc.). There's some seriously cool engineering involved in some of them.

Whatevs.

TJ Maxx

TJ Maxx is a weird store. One day it'll be filled with undesirables, the next day it'll be filled with young milfs, another day it'll be filled with old people, and on pay day it has all of the above.

Pretty sure you don't wear tiaras on your wrist, clown. Totally different.

To the OP, you could probably get something equally plain looking for less, no?

3/10.

"I like my tiara, I feel naked without it and there's totally a practical reason for it", I could see that.

I don't like watches with day functions. Who needs to be reminded what day it is? Other than that it's a decent cheap watch. 4.5/10
