I like Peterson pipes and usually go for a Va/Per blend of tobacco.

Peterson pipes are well made and reasonably priced.
Cornell & Diehl are my favorite tobacco blenders. Star of the East, Rajah's Court, Kajun Kake, and Bayou Morning are my regular blends.

Country squire is a great place if you are ever unfortunate enough to find yourself in Jackson. JD really knows his tobacco and can discuss it at length for hours. He would be a great person to go see and discuss your tastes. He sells tons and mixes his own. Lots of Virginia, cavendish, with a touch of perique blends. It’s amazing how those three can taste and smell so differently when mixed in different ratios. I love their cowboy coffee blend.
