Chippewa St is probably best, least than an hour from Baton Rouge Beach and nice property with soil probably good enough to grow a few tomatoes

she’s looking for a small parcel (obviously) on a rent to own basis, this is fairly common in rural Louisiana. I have good friends who started out their family farm this way. What they didn’t/don’t have is a house on that parcel…that’s the delusional part not the land.
I bet she’d be successful if she were willing to live in a trailer

I highly doubt that the trailer/land owner is gonna be willing to rent to own it to her for $500 down.

shite man. I wouldn't even lease out a loafing shed for $500/month.

Her price range will put her in a property that’s liable to have the body of a dead visitor rolled up in a carpet somewhere about it.
Hope that’s not an issue for her.
Not sure about it being able to address the livestock or fishing options.

if she’s diligent and trustworthy and can sell the owner on it, and the owner has no use for the parcel and/or just wants someone on the land, then there’s a deal to be made. I applaud her lifestyle decision and hope she finds something that works. As I said, what is unlikely to happen is “land with a house” that is habitable
