Think about how ancient that feeling really is. That's your prehistoric brain telling you that you have warmth, light, potentially food, and drinkable water.

Those are good. I switch between that and ocean surf. Very hypnotic.

Its even better in real life, in the mountains, far from cell service. I am fortunate enough to do it a couple weeks a year. You ALWAYS return from those trips a better man than you left.

Very calming. Love to sit by a campfire for a long evening. I get to do it a few times a year also. Wish I could experience one by the ocean.

Those are great. My son plays those on his TV a lot but it kinda fouls up the effect when his TV is ABOVE the fireplace. .
I thought about getting a one of our older TVs, and putting it behind the metal screen in our fireplace because we need to do something about our gas fireplace that's in there now. Over the years the logs have become broken so I wanted to replace them.
When I bought this house, the original owner had gas logs built in with what is called by the fireplace shops, a "B-Vent" set up. It had nice gas logs with what appears to be a 6 inch flue that can be closed or open. If you're using gas, you need it open to keep carbon monoxide from killing you.
More than one fireplace shop just goes off in a new direction when I mention B-Vented, buying new logs, and I start getting wild quotes on replacing the entire fireplace because they will not sell me any replacement logs. They tell me that the original manufacturer is likely out of business and the type of replacement logs they sell can't be used in my set-up.
That seems ridiculous because I'm not changing fuel, and Injust want logs similar to the originals.
Fake logs are fake logs to me.

Leaving FL in a couple of weeks to camp out west again, the mountains make you feel small and huge at the same time.

Reminds me of these videos. Anyone here bought one of these knives?
