I'm not offended by it. I think it's ridiculous companies are trying so hard to be PC.

I mean...the commercial just doesn't work with a hetero couple

What makes you the arbiter of what matters?
How do you know it doesn't matter that we are sending positive messages about gay parenting? How do you know that won't ruin a bunch of kids lives?
You don't. How could you? Nobody will honestly ask or answer that question. It's just an agenda being pushed without regard to any truth other than the "truth" of people's feelings.
What am I so worked up about? Don't worry about that. Worry more about the truth and less about feeling superior to people who care about things you don't think they should care about.

For decades it's been preached that homosexual couples are not equipped to adopt/raise children. From my experience, those children grow up to be just as normal as any kid who was raised in a heterosexual family.

I guess I have a hard time thinking that someone sat in a board room and said "Listen, I have this great idea for a commercial featuring a homosexual couple, that I believe will really resonate with a majority demographic, and cause an increase in sales."
From a business standpoint, this move absolutely makes no sense, unless you are thinking about the PC side of things.
Just my opinion.

Not to mention, it's a Star Wars ad. This will basically sell itself. Let's also not act like this will be the only Campbell's/Star Wars ad out there.

And my experience is different. Furthermore, my experience lines up with millennia of received wisdom about child-rearing. Not to mention my direct experience of the value both sexes provide in parenting.
At the very least one would think we would study this scientifically and objectively prior to wholesale abandoning what was universally accepted when our grandparents were born.
But nobody really cares about any of that, because it's a lot easier just to go along.

Because people raise the same old argument when they disagree with ads like this. "Who are they trying to sell this to?". As if the ad is somehow telling the audience that we reject other types of households.

When Strahan was doing the commercials.
Always enjoyed those.
Guess they felt the need to fill a certain "gap" in their marketing.
