What crimes would it take in order for your to actually contact the authorities? Some are more heinous than others, and it's tough to rat out a family member.

For this experiment, assume we're talking about immediate family through first cousins.

Crimes they commit and you know about it:

1. Crimes against person
(Assassination, Assault, Battery, Bigamy, Criminal negligence, False imprisonment, Home invasion, Homicide, Kidnapping, Manslaughter (corporate), Mayhem, Murder, corporate, Negligent homicide, Public indecency, Rape Robbery, Sexual assault)

2. Crimes against property
(Arson, Blackmail, Bribery, Burglary, Embezzlement, Extortion, False pretenses, Fraud, Larceny, Payola, Pickpocketing, Possessing stolen property, Robbery, Smuggling, Tax evasion, Theft)

3. Crimes against justice
(Compounding, Malfeasance in office, Miscarriage of justice, Misprision, Obstruction, Perjury, Perverting the course of justice)

4. Victimless Crimes
(Adultery, Apostasy, Buggery, Providing contraception information (Comstock law), Dueling, Fornication, Gambling, Incest, Lewd and lascivious behavior, Exhibitionism, Creation of obscenity, Prostitution, Recreational drug use (including alcohol, when prohibited), Sodomy)

5. Crimes against animals
(Cruelty to animals, Wildlife smuggling, Bestiality)

Or would you keep mum and pretend not to notice, possibly becoming a guilty party to obstruction of justice?

I once had a house party in high school when my parents were out of town. Our neighbors called them and told them.

My own goddamn parents called the cops on me and I got put in handcuffs while they cleared out the house.

They let me go though. We weren't disturbing anyone. Such bullshite. My dad still laughs about it.

If I thought they were a danger to other people or animals, I’d call the cops

My cousin called the cops on his brother and had him arrested after he walked into their mom's house to find his brother threatening to beat up their mom. Long story short, his brother is an addict and he was trying to get his mom to give him some money for drugs.

Anything that I would call the cops for on someone I do not know, I would also on someone I do know or am related to. I do not understand the whole blind loyalty thing at all. If you do shitty things I do not want to associate with you regardless of whether we share genetics. I have disowned plenty of family for being shitty. That being said though, I do not call the cops for petty stuff, it has to be at least mid-range serious or worse, otherwise I mind my own business and let the shite people do catch up with them as it usually does.
