California wildfires. Should the USAF send in the B-52s.

The Swedish Air Force has declared war on a new, homegrown enemy: forest fires. Sweden dispatched two Gripen fighters to bomb forest fires, snuffing out flames with blast waves. As weird as it sounds, it actually works, and you’ve probably done something like it yourself. Scientists describe the effect is described as similar to blowing out candles on a birthday cake.
The Swedes showed us last year that it is possible to bomb a fire out. Shouldn't we evacuate the area, cut off gas lines, etc, and then call in some B52s to bomb the shite out of the fire line before we send firefighters in? We can always send the firefighters in after the bomb runs if they do not work.

Yes, but only if they release their payloads over San Francisco, LA, Hollywood, and Sacramento.

Actually pretty interesting. I would love to see some B-52’s in action. Imagine that show at night

well, no. Why should the federal government use our money and military supplies to deal with an avoidable problem caused by that state's government?

Cause California contributes almost like $3 trillion to our economy.

FEMA is already involved and so is the California National Guard which is federally funded. So our tax dollars are already involved. I am more concerned with the lives of the first responders than I am about tax dollars. Anything to reduce the risks those brave SOBs face is ok by me.

IT IS THE STATE'S PROBLEM BECAUSE TRUMP SAYS SO OR BECAUSE OF SOME REAL FACT?????? IF TRUMP SAYS SO IT IS PROBABLY, MOST CERTAINLY, ACTUALLY, A LIE.

the only way to put the fire geysers out was to detonate a bomb next to it.

True for most states, but most of what their economy is built on is not tied to California.
Most of the state GDP is built off Silicon Valley and Hollywood. The contribution from CA from these industries is mostly thanks to the people outside of the State. Those industries could be relocated with minimal effort.
Real estate also inflates the GDP numbers.
The one California specific commodity that is beneficial to the United States is the agriculture sector. That sector is only 2% of the state GDP.

Yeah but we did not use the air force to drop the bombs. Last year the Swedes were supposedly the first to use a plane to drop a bomb and extinguish a wildfire.

I think you're talking about the power company that has taken profits over maintenance for decades and allowed the surrounding foliage to overgrow around the power lines, stringing new power lines over thousands of miles instead of burying it.
The state's problem is allowing them to do it. The lack of oversight is amazing.
There's plenty of blame to go around on this one.

The CA liberals would have none of that, B-52s produce too many emissions.
