There will be a price point at fast food places where people will just say, you know what, I'll go get something else.

Idiots like you shouldn’t be allowed to vote or reproduce. Here I’ll explain it. Company has to pay these things as overhead….. 1. Labor 2. Power, gas. 3. Building lease or payment 4. Taxes on income and property 5. Insurance of about 10 different things 6. Cost of products the sale 7. Maintenance and up keep. Then comes the profit. These things are all figured into the bottom line of the coast of their product YOU buy. If ONE of these costs go up the cost YOU pay goes up. So YOU and all the dumbasses who thinks money grows on trees end up paying for the uneducated burger flippers to make $20 god damn dollars and hour. You complete idiot

Ok. Your numerical list is appreciated, thank you.

I don’t eat fast food regularly, I don’t live in California. Again, I do not care.

Places here in Denver area advertise $18-21 an hour to start. Somehow a payroll increase of 25% didnt cause menu prices to rise by 300%.

Wages have been stagnant in this country for far too long. While the average CEO salary has exploded. The hope is that raising wages helps put more money in workers pockets and has an upward push on wages throughout the entire workforce and even into other industries. Which needs to happen for folks to survive these days as inflation has gotten crazy and debts are mounting

Everyone knows that way back when only a single income was needed for a middle class family to thrive. Now it takes 2 incomes to raise a family. And many of those are barely scraping by.

Just for note, McDonald’s CEO Chris kempczinski made $20 million last year. The CFO made $10 million and two other executives, the international and USA presidents each made $8.3 and 7.45 million. I think they can definitely afford to pay their employees a little more. While still making bank themselves. I mean what does it take to oversee McDonald’s? It basically prints money on its own
