Cake or pie?

If you had to pick one, with all its varieties, which would you choose? I'm going with cake because a homemade carrot cake is better than anything else this world can offer.

I dont really care for icing and most normal cakes have way too much for me. Pies also tend to have way too much sugar dumped all over the crust.
a good slice of cheese cake is greatness though.

Pie. Can't go without cheesecake and lots of cakes are way to dry and not appetizing to me.
