7th,

We're gonna miss you man. MS is shite for pretty much everything except hunting and fishing.

The area sucks and the job market is in the shitter unless you are in some kind of field of need. I feel your pain.

Good luck to you man. If you are ever traveling back through, look me up. I'm always checking in here. I'll buy you a beer. No homo.

Be safe out there.

If you ever get the urge to move again, I strongly advise on Denver. It's awesome.

Thanks man. MS definitely isn't the place for a young professional. I'm not opposed to getting experience in a field and then coming back and making a good salary with its lost cost of living in 10-15 years, once I'm older and tired of the hustle and bustle of the big city. But until then, I'll enjoy making the new connections, building a resume and career. And just enjoying new places. And even better, the trip to Green Bay is only 5-6 hours. Work my arse off and treat myself to the LSU-Wiscy season opener as a late b day gift to myself

Awesome news Slime

I just accepted a new gig traveling for work. I'm going to give it a whirl. Have a week to get all my ducks in a row and flying out to Florida next Wednesday.

Thanks man. You know, in today's job market, you have to take the low paying jobs and build experience, get promotions, etc in order to get the high paying jobs. One thing about me though man, I always get promotions. Every single job I've had since I was 20, I've moved up, from McDonald's to a steel foundry to the GED institute where I was promoted to office manager in just 6 months and just turned down the project director position that would have put me over all 7 locations in south Mississippi, because I knew I was going to move. It's all about your mindset man. If you come in eager to learn, catch on fast, work hard, management notices and puts you on the fast track. One thing about me, I'm highly intelligent, and I'm very hard working. Like get 2 hours of sleep, working 2 jobs and taking 18 hours of classes, hard working. Like working 9p-9a and then driving an hour to class to finish the degree, hard working. And more importantly, I always step up to a challenge, so when a promotion is available, I'm the first in line sending HR my resume and talking to upper management about the opportunity. I might not make 6 figures at 25, but I know that I'll be there by 35, if not sooner. A promotion at the new "low paying job" will put me really close to 6 figures before factoring in overtime. So yeah, thanks man, I appreciate it.

7th,

What's your degree in?

Where did you go to school while you were in Jackson?

And I agree 100%. You gotta start somewhere. And if you gotta start lower in MO, then your celing is going to be much higher there than in MS. That's for damn sure.

History.

I graduated from Belhaven. I also attended Millsaps for a brief stint
I'm looking at U of MO-St Louis for an organizational leadership masters or lindenwood university for a Computer related degree, in either science or programming.

Im making more in MO already than I was in MS. The first job that hired me up here beat my old salary by 1.5k(not much I know but it's something ) all because I interviewed so well and did so well on the assessment. I come in already maxed out at the position and they want me to move to trainer in 6 months

If you are as hardworking as you say and advance up the ladder as fast as you claim then you are in the wrong field. Move to the city and get into business. I have a friend doing this and I'm insanely jealous. He does not work that hard, has a ton of vacation, travels to cool places for work when he wants, and is making just over 7 figures. And as a subtle/not so subtle brag, I was making well over 6 figures at the age of 26 and I wish I would have gotten into buisness when I was younger.

Pack up your crap and move to NYC. You will thank me later.

Work smarter not harder!
