This kind of proves the point about atheists being the most pretentious. You want to make it clear you're not an atheist because deep down you know how pretentious they really are as a group.

Don't know about pretentious but I've personally found the most irritatingly smug people are those who throw the word "pretentious" around as a smokescreen for their own shortcomings.
