Buying a truck.... WYDI?

So I'm cruising Craigslist and I see this little gem...
LINK
As you can see from the description, it has a rebuilt title due to body damage. So, out of curiosity, I inquire about it. In my mind, the front end or rear was was totaled in an accident. Well, I ask the guy, and he said he was told it was in a roll over.
Now, I'm not sure what goes into fixing that. If it was rear ended, the bed could be replaced easily. Same thing with the front. Just replace the hood, fenders and grill. But how do you fix a roll over?
I thought the price was decent for the miles, but it doesn't have the Z71 package with it.

I wouldn't buy a rebuilt vehicle much less a vehicle that has been in a friggin' rollover. Will your insurance even cover it if you purchase it?

I have a 30 yr old wrangler that has a rebuilt title. The insured it just fine. Now, as far as insuring with full coverage is beyond my knowledge.

I wouldn't classify a truck that was totaled by the insurance co. and repaired Fair Condition. But he did knock the price down $38 bucks

I assumed that could be negotiated a bit.

It has 130k miles and a fricked up title and you think 10k is good for it?
frick man
What would u pay for an 08 Dodge 4x4 top tier Laramie package leather throughout crew cab with 55k miles and excellent body

Ford Raptor with matte finish on 35's or gtfo

That was awesome, nearly as awesome as posting the excellent condition pricing as well

I like how the seller says "truck's not perfect". Well no shite, it was totaled. The price is also way too damn high.

Run a Carfax on it if you are interested in pursuing. You can track down the original owner/s and find out the story on the wreck. Fair condition price does not reflect a rollover or rebuilt title. I'd think it's worth half of what bluebook lists for fair condition.

A 10 year old GMC truck with bedliner trim, 130k miles and a rebuilt title for 10k? Yeah sounds like a super good deal

Rebuilt title = a nicer sounding way of saying salvage title, meaning the car had previously been deemed a total loss by insurance company.
So a 10 year old truck that has 130k miles on it and has been fixed up after being totalled and the guy is asking $10,000 for it? Easy answer.....

Almost impossible to get anything but liability only insurance on a salvage title vehicle. Which means no loan using the truck as collateral since it's not insured. Offer 5K cash after it's been checked out by a body shop and you plan to drive it until the wheels fall off and it's a pile of rust. Which may be sooner than later.

With a salvage title you may have trouble selling it when you want to get rid of it.

Don't buy some high school kids truck in the parking lot at Northside.

That's gonna be tough to persuade.

Then walk away, if I'm offering you a Reese's cup for $350.00 the fact that you love chocolate in your mouth doesn't mean you have to buy it. If it doesn't make sense find something different.
