They should forgive her rent? So frick the landlord?

And now he can't make the payment on the strip mall. So now we should bail out the business, the landlord and the bank

It’s funny how people ignore the fact that most landlords are small businesses and most have notes to pay. So if rent is “forgiven”, but the note is still owed, the small business landlord ends up going under and the property ultimately becomes subject to foreclosure.

I figured after shutting down California, most businesses would heed the word. But most of the mom and pop shops are like frick it, waiting for the law to force the shut down. A surprising amount of small businesses are just doing their thing until closed by force.

The government doesn’t have the money to do that with every business they shut down the last couple weeks

The ripple effect of this will be devastating and recovery will probably be years in some areas.

Yep and it’s kinda befuddling that’s the large corporations don’t have resources to weather a storm / small businesses / self employed a different gig

Fire arm and ammo industries doing fine

I was at my girlfriend's house last Sunday in Eunice and we were outside and her mail passed. We both kinda looked at each other in disbelief. So yes it does, I guess it depends on where you live.

I don't know exactly what day she got the letter. She told my wife today. The order came out March 21.

look man

your SILs salon that has maybe 5 people in at one time needs to shut down to stop this spread

but she can go to the airport with 100s of other people, get on a plane that literally circulates air with 100 other people and go to any city she wants and continue to do that as freely as she wishes

its just logic

No and this is such a short sided stupid take. The landlord wouldn’t have to pay his bills either. It’s not a perfect solution but at this point there are no others. People can’t pay bills if they aren’t able to make money.

Just think if the administration didn’t waste two months thinking this was going to all blow over.

Or she can go to Wal-Mart and crowd down narrow aisles with hundreds of people

You people don’t realize that the U.S. will recover rather quickly for the most part. It’s the trade with the other countries that will slow growth for everyone.
