I bet there's something in the fine print of said contract regarding this.

This happens literally every time I move. I don’t have that much shite to move but somehow end up with a damn 18 wheeler to drive around because the word “reservation” means nothing

The only way I can see this getting worse is if you peel the top off the U-haul like a can.

Do you even PeopleReady bro? You can have people waiting on you to move your shite for $20/hour. Just used them for my sister who moved on the 4th floor in Houston, TX. I didn't touch shite.

I drove a similar truck a similar distance, and it wasn't that bad. Made it 1000+ miles with no incident, including up and down through the Appalachians in West Virginia-- a little bit of white knuckling, but not bad.

Last 20 feet before I park it at an apartment complex, the trailer snagged a wire that was hidden in some low branches and pulled it from the wall, knocking out cable at the 4-plex I was to live in.

Needless to say, my new neighbors weren't impressed.

You'll be fine.

Check out the website movinghelpdotcom. I've used it several times between Dallas, New Orleans, and BR. Just looked it up and they service Philly.

Generally speaking it's $200-$300 that gets you 2 movers for 2 hours. You can book for longer if needed. This is labor only. They give you a handful of ones to pick from with reviews.
