Suck it Saddam. What did he have to do with 911?

Nothing and it cost us trillions of dollars.

TSA and DHS were created by way of law. They are now bloated drains of epic proportion. We funded huge stupid wars by way of law which saw little economic activity for all but a select few.

We pretty much abolished the Fourth Amendment.

Why shouldn't they have been passed and which ones in particular?

I think our gov't took advantage of the American public [to some degree] in the post 9/11 world. We were led into the wrong direction of believing that Iraq/Saddam had a hand in killing thousands of Americans on September 11th.

The Patriot Act immediately comes to mind.

Then his administration promoted fear amongst the American people of "nukulur" bombs in Iraq in order to wage war against a country/ regime that had nothing to do with 9/11.
Let us see how many down votes the truth gets.

Unintentional it may be or not, It's the greatest con job ever pulled on the American people and we're paying dearly for it now.

The thing I never got about the American public was this con job went down...no WMDs were found.

And we re-elected him.

Blew my mind.

sold my gas station 2.5 years ago. I bought it as a repo to build the business back up and flip and that's what I did. I would never rely on one as my sole living. You have to be there 24/7 or have someone you can really trust and you make your money a dime at a time. Not my cup of tea.

Removing Saddam was the worst possible mistake we could have made and we did it!

Hindsight is 20/20 - what would you say if the policy was a success? That killing Saddam was the best possible thing we could've done? I think it's relative to the process, not necessarily the outcome.....which is no one likes the outcome.
