Bush dies - Day off next week?

I remember that was the case for Nixon and Reagan and well since people really don’t die that much anymore I don’t know what the protocol is. Trump pretty much fits in the face anything that qualifies as protocol so I think it’s up to the OT to take the lead

Wouldn't be surprised if schools and government offices use it as an excuse to shut down for a day.

I doubt any private companies will be taking the day off.

The NYSE historically has taken the day of the funeral off out of respect when a former president has died.

It’s too close to Thanksgiving and Christmas. HW’s holiday in Texas will be his birthday, which is in June, so they won’t lose a day of school.
