Thought I had a small world moment going. Anytime you want to train, come up to Conroe. We do it all. A little JKD, MT, wrestling, and of course, jits.

Not in boxing with rules applying.

Sean waltman was like 6'0" 225.

Looked extra small because of the company he kept.

What does his size have to do with anything? What you think X pac is going to suplex Mayweather before Mayweather hits him with a fricking upper cut?

X pac would not beat Mayweather in any kind of fight. Neither would Bruce Lee.

If the fight can go to the ground and all that crazy shite, I'm not sure mayweather wins a fight with someone 4 inches taller and 70 lbs heavier. Wrestling is fake but those guys can still grapple.

Mayweather wins boxing matches by decision, and he would beat that guy by decision, or knock him out after tiring him out for a bit but in a whatever goes type of fight that guy would most likely beat the hell out of him. He's not hard to hit if you can tackle him to the ground

In a sanctioned fight? Quite a lot..

No, but in a real fight where people could use a weight advantage. Floyd would be giving up about 70+ pounds and 4 inches in height.
Aganst a man who on a daily basis work physically against men who are 6'5" 250+ people. Even though it's staged, you're putting in some physical work.

I studied Small Circle Jiu Jitsu with Wally Jay. One thing he always stressed was that grappling is the most effective form of fighting unless the opponent is a boxer. Boxers are best equipped to stay on their feet and to keep distance. Boxers are more difficult to shoot on, and they are better at catching you with a stiff jab while you attempt to shoot. My point, Wally Jay was one of the great Jiu Jitsu practitioners of all time, and he was weary of boxers.

Mayweather would destroy Bruce Lee. It is not even debatable.

These are the kinds of quotes that brainwash people.

Before MMA became big, martial arts was an unknown to most people. It was mysterious. It was almost mystical.

You thought people could tap into some kind of energy and fight blindfolded just by "feeling it" like a Jedi from Star Wars.

People really thought this shite. And Bruce Lee was the guy who all of these mystical martial arts legends stick to. People seem to still believe it for some reason.

It's all bullshite. Martial arts aren't mystical. You can't tap into some Jedi powers and fight blindfolded.

And Bruce Lee couldn't end a fight in 3 seconds like he was a Jedi master. It's bullshite. All of it is bullshite.

It's fighting. That's what it is. It's fist fighting. Could a 135 pound man who rarely if ever fought beat Mike Tyson in a fist fight?

The premise is so laughably stupid. Mike Tyson would destroy him.

let's be real here.

If it were a streetfight, size really wouldn't matter because hed have to fight Floyd and 14 others that jump in on his side.

lol who's arguing this? Even in this thread, the consensus has been basically if it is a boxing match, Mayweather wins easily.

Also, why are people acting like Bruce Lee was a grappler? JKD had some elements of grappling, but it was basic and not the focus of his martial art.

I was responding to a quote in an article posted.

And maybe not so much in this thread, but there was a 50 page thread on here asking who would win in a fight, Bruce Lee or Mike Tyson.

You would be shocked at how many were picking. Bruce Lee. The argument went on for 50 pages.

It's more the kicking element plus theure separated by less than an inch but lee has 10 lbs on him

So they're the same size and since it isn't confined to the rules of boxing you would think that puts mayweather at a severe disadvantage. Mayweather isn't known for knocking guys out in early rounds. He's known for going long rounds and winning roughly half of his bouts by decision. He's famous for speed not power

Oh I remember that thread. It wasn't just a straight fist fight though. Lee would have to be able to use all his techniques. This isn't some Ip Man situation

Against Mayweather in a true no holds barred fist fight, I think Lee would be able to hold his own and I could see an outcome where he wins. However, I can easily see your argument that he wouldn't, but it is possible.

In a sanctioned boxing match, he wouldn't stand a chance.

Conor & Floyd have apparently agreed to box, which takes wrestling out of the equation. If the fight actually happens and is strictly boxing rules, Floyd will waste him.

Connor will get humiliated in a boxing match. He might not connect on one punch. He'll be a worse boxer than Floyd's sparring partners.

And vice versa, in an octagon, Floyd would get humiliated.
