I'm holding out hope that FM agrees to kickboxing rules. He claims to be a kickboxing fan.

It is a fascinating psychological study of the power of legends and how people can become brainwashed and ignore common logic.
People were acting like Bruce Lee wasn't mortal and could do all of these super-human things like a comic book character.
They talk about him being the greatest fighter ever and don't even realize he's NEVER had an actual fight that many people saw.
The only fights he's claimed to have had were some fights as a teenager in Hong Kong and a super secret closed-door match with Wong Jack Man... some other San Francisco Chinatown Kung Fu instructor.
It's all a big legend.
The man was trained in Wing Chun and "invented" a spin-off from Wing Chun called "Jeet Kune Do" yet he NEVER applied his martial art in a real fight.
How can you perfect techniques if you never use them for real?
Fighting for real has to be experienced. You learn things in a real fight that no amount of sparring or training can prepare you for.
So for people to act like this 135 pound man who has only had a few real fights in his life was going to destroy Mike Tyson in a fight is laughably ridiculous.

Mayweather, with his fragile hands, would get fricked up in a street brawl with Lee. Lee would smash him, probably kill him

Most of the responses are comical, like the one just below yours. You just have to laugh.

I am well schooled in JKD. My jits instructor is also a high level JKD guy and we somehow end up working some JKD stuff into class almost every day.

I didn't mention this before, but my mom's uncle is one of the most highly regarded JKD instructors in the world. He's old now, but still teaches every week and still gives seminars all over the world.
He was taught by Dan Inosanto, who was an original student of Bruce Lee.
He was friends with Bruce Lee and is still a friend of his wife Linda.
I know all about JKD as well.

Mayweather is a bitch. Throws 2 jabs then runs for the rest of the fight
Yes he is a bitch for playing defense

Dude would get his arse kicked in a street fight.
Not by you.

Bruce Lee 100% of the time.
In a movie? Or IRL.
Lee doesn't even have a fighting record because he never fought.
Y'all are fricking stupid. A world champion vs an actor.
I guess the X-pac would whoop Mayweahters arse too huh?

If the fight actually happens and is strictly boxing rules, Floyd will waste him.
Whats the point of this? If they are fighting, we will actually see what happens. I dont need you to tell me whats going to happen. We will see it. And if you are wrong...nothing happens. Its a pointless thing to say.

But Mayweather in his prime hits harder and faster than you could even imagine. Without gloves it would take one good shot to the chin and Lee would be lights out.
Negative, ghost rider. Lee was lighting quick. mayweather has a gaudy record....I'll just leave it at that.
Lee all day and half the night would whip mayweather like a petulant child. Ring or no ring.

Is this a joke? The rules that allow Msywaether to be a great boxer
Eaxctly. Mayweather is 49-0 or whatever because he kills fricking clock. He would not be P4P one of the best boxers in the world if he would actually engage the opponent

Connor would beat Floyd in a street fight

Bruce Lee is so fast and powerful Mayweather wouldn't even know what to do with himself

Are you in Houston? Just curious about your family connection with the JKD guy. I am wondering if it might be my jits instructor. My instructor is an older guy and also trained with Dan Inosanto. He lives in Kingwood.

Bruce Lee vs Mike Tyson
fists only or street fight?
Tyson hits hard and everyone knows that, but he matched it with speed, and he could move his body and his head as fast as he could move his hands. I don't know too much about boxing, but I've seen quite a few of his matches bored late at night, and he was a fricking monster. there's one match he knocked some guy out with a 3 punch combo...each one was full power and the whole thing happened in a second

I am in Houston but no, my uncle lives in California.

Arguing that Bruce Lee is a better fighter than Floyd is like saying that Adam Sandler is a better QB than Tom Brady. That's how ridiculous of an argument it is. One guy acts like a professional and one guy is an actual professional.
