And then posted on social media that he was asked to to wear his military uniform, for the attention. Like he did after he was asked to leave for wearing his military uniform.

The invitation said Black tie Optional, this dude wore an outfit that fit that description.
Again, it does not.

Don’t wear your blues to a civilian black tie event unless you’re the focus of the event: that is, unless you’re the groom - or part of a wedding party where the groom is also wearing his blues - or you’re receiving an honor or award, it is tacky to wear them.

So you don’t even think of the bride and groom, just yourself? Thank god you don’t represent most of the military

How many times have you worn your formals to events that you were not a part of?

On Mr Sartorially accurate, what is the accepted attire for a BTI occasion?

Nice to know our tax dollars that go to the military don’t go to teaching class.

Bitch should be happy we don't live in a day and age where the feudal lord gets rights of seniority, or maybe she secretly wishes they did.

It was very simple shite said to me early on in my military career. Part of honorable service is realizing that it ain’t always about you (or your dick).
And if the guy wanted to show off in a much more subtle way (and get a good conversation starter and later panty dropper), slap a tiny little CIB/CAB/CAR on the lapel of your tux if you’ve earned one.
